Teachers have one of the most important – and challenging – careers. Kris Fannin explains why every day should be teacher appreciation for super teachers.

Take a few seconds to look around your environment at this moment.

What you are going to see are letters, numbers, words, colors and shapes.

If you are fortunate enough to understand those letters, numbers, words, colors, and shapes, then you can identify them.

Who do you have to thank for that?

A teacher.

Teachers Taught You Love and Protection

The first time you ever felt loved and protected – outside of your family – was likely by someone who was practically a stranger.

Who?

Your teacher.

Super Teachers Inspire and Build Critical Confidence

Remember that time when you were curious about a sport or hobby?

You were intimidated but inspired by those that made it look easy.

You had neither the confidence nor skills even to try it, much less excel at it.

Or so you thought.

You dove in, learned everything about it, and you eventually became the champion!

How did you do it?

Because you had a teacher.

What Makes Inspiring Super Teachers and Educators?

Inspiring teachers have a combination of four critical components, and they all need to be present.

  1. Intellect
  2. Personality
  3. Heart
  4. Determination

So the next time you read a sign, laugh at a joke, write an article, solve a problem, get a promotion, land your dream job – the next time you do anything that builds the life and career you want – thank a teacher.

A teacher not only laid the foundation for you to do all of these things, but I also guarantee there is one that is thinking of you at any given moment of any given day.

Be thankful for your teachers – every moment of every day.

If you have the opportunity, let them know how they impacted your life. Make teacher appreciation an everyday celebration.
